I feel like I am going to disappoint you from the beginning, but at least from what I know, people don’t change their behavior. What defines ourselves we have it in every cell from our body, from every nerve in our brain, in every heartbeat. The behaviors and beliefs might change in time but our personality is the front cover of our book. We can make out another cover to look polished and bright but nobody can change their true self. With that in mind, always remember that only what we allow is what will continue in our lives. Are about the feelings that we allow to manifest, the communication and the words we set free, and how much from our dreams and fantasies we allow to become reality. If someone hurt us is because we allow them to do so, otherwise that person would not even know that what are we dealing with in our mind. If we allow something to repeat endlessly in our life is only because we allow that to happen. Imagine for a moment the race from one predator with their prey. The prey would fight with all the forces to save their lives from the thirsty predator that is looking to make out of them a tasty dinner. It is true that after a long race the prey will get weaker and would allow it to end in a cold and yet natural way of death, but that would happen after gave everything that could to save their lives. None of them would allow from the first sight someone to take their lives. For humans is a little different but once we allow someone else to control our thoughts, actions or dreams is similar to a slow and painful death. The time of these actions has no place in time and can occur before, during, or after the realization that we are the only ones responsible to allow our life course, otherwise what we allow is what will continue.
“When we aren’t honest with ourselves about who we are and what we want, we allow other people and circumstances to determine our life course.”
― Cortney S. Warren
Dreams and wishes are little whispers in our heads that keep on telling us to allow them to grow and to give them space and opportunity to expand. I should warn you that setting yourself free comes with a harder period than you thought you are in. The dark night of the soul would help you to release some of the burdens, and to allow yourself who you were meant to be. There is a bottom point that needs to be reached before you can rise, but from there up, it only gets much better than ever before. Nature always allows me to pick up examples that make our understanding easier and the explanations to be clearer. Two flowers in the same pot, healthy soil, water, light, and warmth; as we know in the beginning everything looks so perfect and beautiful. Those flowers would have direct competition in time for resources, not because they don’t love each other because nature is made that way. In time one of them would get more from the other one and would become stronger, and that would create an unbalanced condition for one of them, and not because it was allowed. In a matter of time, the weak flower would begin to lose space, nutrients and would stay in the shade of the other one. The best option would be to be thrown in the backyard but instead ends up in the garbage. The bottom point made the once beautiful flower just survive and fight with every strength left in her stem, leaves, and roots. In the long journey from garbage back to the soil, the plant would have to live somehow, and when the bumpy road ends from there is only freedom. We don’t actually end up in the garbage and hopefully, the bottom point is not that low, but the course of events is similar. Even though is a scary and dangerous route, sometimes is the only possibility and when will finally set you free, you will allow continuing only what is meant to be.
“Your soul will finally be set free, once you allow yourself to be who you were meant to be, instead of what others say you should.”
― Christine E. Szymanski
Many signs are getting in the way that we often ignore. People we meet are sometimes omens or souls that want to give us a lesson or to take something from us. All these interactions are meant to happen for a reason, and every time we ignore the signs, the patterns repeat until we learn the lesson. The stories we hear or read are not enough to make us have the precious realization and unfortunately harder experiences are needed to happen. Our body gives us signs when something is not working great and be careful that too much stomach acid kills the butterflies. Drinking poison and spreading venom would not kill the ones you think about, but would harm your own health. We live too little to the full potential of this life and we waste so much time with unnecessary thoughts and actions. Allow yourself to smile more often, to be clumsy and have fun, to lose control and run barefoot on the grass or even snow, to get dirty in a muddy puddle, and to feel what surrounds you. The present is called that way because is the gift we have for the day. We are waking up and get one more chance to call someone we miss, to apologize, to fix something, or to enjoy another moment under the sun. The power of our mind, the manifestation, and the prayers are stronger than any medicine invented because what we allow is what will continue.
“Have we ever thought to consider that God allows things in our lives to die so that in that death we might come to the precious realization of how little we’ve actually lived in the first place?”
― Craig D. Lounsbrough
